Tori

Tori was found outside abandoned in a baby carrier with all her belongings by a good Samaritan in August 2023. We aren't sure what the circumstances were, but we do believe that somebody had loved her. We had hoped that someone would come forward, but never did. Tori is a very affectionate cat. She is literally a small dog trapped in a cat's body. She will run to greet you. She is a staff favorite. She constantly craves attention and wants to be in whatever room you are in. She will headbutt you and sit on your laptop if you ignore her. If you ignore her or try to push her away she will let you know she's not happy about that. Got food? You better share it. She absolutely loves chicken. She is very food motivated. Tori currently lives with other cats and is around dogs. She ignores dogs and will get along with other cats as long as they know she is the boss. It is guesstimated that she is around 2 years of age. She currently weighs 9.5lbs. Our Policies: Please Read Carefully! We are currently not adopting out-of-state! Please note that we do require screening and verifiable references before a meet and greet and at-home visit is ever approved. Approved applicants must travel to our location in Chicago before we proceed with our in-home visit/ adoption. Due to our in-home visit requirements, we are only adopting within a set 20-mile radius near our location in the city of Chicago, IL. We will ONLY consider applicants who have filled out our emailed application in full and abide by our rescue protocol. We will not arrange any meet and greets unless all references have been checked and applicants have been approved. We are not accepting or offering ANY phone inquiries. We do require cats under 1 year of age to be adopted in pairs unless there is already a cat in the home.
