Looking for someone who isn't going to pass her around. She was in a loving home for most of her life and that person had to go to assisted living. She was in a couple places after that who were not the right fit for her. We don't want someone who'll get pregnant and re-home her or move to an apartment where she's not allowed. 4 years old, red, female, husky, fixed, fairly calm but will chat you up and go nuts when certain fun events happen, wants to be your shadow, crate trained and loves her “bedroom” but will cry sometimes if she's forced to be in it and can still see you. No interest in cats but doesn't care for most other dogs. Guards her food. These are both things that can be worked on (and we're working on food guarding) but she doesn't want to share her hom ewith another dog. She is definitely dog-selective. She's looking for a home because she does like to run/escape. And since she doesn't like other dogs, this can be a problem. She picked on a neighbor's dog. This dog was okay, but it was scary for everyone. Her Owner wants someone who can handle this – someone that can out-smart hatchi. Someone who can manage a houdini like her safely. I've fostered her for a week now and the first three days were hard because she was upset. So whoever adopts her is probably going to have to go through that again because she's going to be scared and upset. She made a lot of noise the first three days and has been much quieter since. So she would need a good week to relax and give you her trust. She prefers not to go potty in the house and loves a casual walk. She doesn't need as much exercise as most huskies do. She's very relaxed and wants to Velcro to one person. Hatchi loves affection. She loves to cuddle on the couch. She's easy to walk. She doesn't care about cats so you can have a cat or two and she'll be fine. She's smart and loves to be trained actually. So if you want to get a dog that can do some neat tricks, she may be just the girl for you, too! Cat OK, No other Dogs, Older kids who respect dogs & wont' stick their hand in her food bowl or try to take things from her. Hatchi would do best with someone who is home a lot as she is velcro.
