'Max'

'Max' is a 2 yrs old handsome, nicely purebred 60 Lbs Belgian Malinois Shepherd who'd been abused and neglected while growing up! >:-/ He'd received no socialization, training or anything else for that matter as he'd been "used as a guard dog"!! ..ignoramuses abound! He will yell out when he thinks he's about to be beat! :-( ..however is doing far better today and is improving all the time (-interviewed previous owner whom today couldn't care less about him since he'd started to show "ineffective as a guard dog"! ..SSCHMACK!) Max is otherwise an extremely sweet young boy, very very affectionate, at times simply just overly affectionate, so very grateful for attention and shower of affection. He shows so much promise for loyalty and dedication to his new future family. His world will and is changing for the better now! :-) We're seeking a family/person(s) who'll be willing to continue his overall socialization (-throughout his lifetime) -by taking him on outings and also continue his overall obedience training. Max sometimes become a little unsure of himself WHEN strangers (eyeball) pay close attention to him and sometimes insecurely warn (makes no move though). More times than not he'll just not care especially when he senses that "the stranger(s)" is/are just standing there talking with foster mommy! Max is a young teen-age boy who's still in his impressionate age and can certainly be "succesfully corrected" as he grows into his adulthood, with surefooted guidance, continued training and lots of socialization. He really is a sweet boy. Max was reported to have been raised with little children, but will not be placed into a home with children younger than 8 yrs old however. He knows his basics at this point and will sit immediately when heeling stops. Max loves to play with his squeeky toys, tennis balls, chewtoys, ANY toys! :-) ..and is quite the "home re-decorator"! (He loves to "find" socks, other garments and sometimes shoes and places them where he feels they should be, lol!) He's a quirky fun little guy and we love him! Max is nuts about his car rides! :-) ..he'll sit shotgun, non-destructively, patient and guarding till you'd return (when you'd be away)! He's a snap with his off-leash recall and is SOO loyal, loving and devoted. He's good with non-dominant males, all size dogs/females and is not cat tolerant. Max is housebroken, crate trained (loves his crate and instantly goes in on command too) , up to date on all vaccines, heartworm neg., on parasite prevs and has Micro Chip ID.
