Trixie – approximately 7 years old. She has been with MASH since April of 2022 and Trixie has come a looooooong way. From being unleashable, standoffish, nervous, hiding, growling, and barking at you to smiling and running out of her room to enjoy a nice walk with her friends outside. Trixie loves being around other dogs and she loves her food and treats, she also plays with toys and bounces along with balls. She is still independent with human contact, but she will allow a few strokes if you bribe her. She loves and does well being around humans, where she makes lots of eye contact listening to our voices and tones and she feels safe to lay calmly next to you. As skittish as she was, Trixie knows the feeling of human kindness and she is still looking for her perfect independent partner to give her a very well retirement life.
