Abbie -adopted

Abbie is a beautiful 1 yr old, black, female labradoodle who is looking for a new forever home. Her owner thought she could make a lot of money breeding doodles, but found out she was wrong. She decided to turn them over to rescue. She was picked up last night and is doing great. She is very social and has a loving personality. Abbie will make some lucky family a great pet. Or you may fill out the application below. which includes spaying, all shots, and worming. We require a fenced yard if there are kids under the age of 12 in the home.

Adopting a dog that has been moved from a home to a shelter and then to a rescue is not for everyone. It takes time and patience to make that dog feel at home in his new environment. It takes at least 1 week and usually up to a month for a dog to acclimate to your schedule and home. An animal shelter is the most stressful place for a dog to be, with other dogs barking and not knowing what is happening around them. Some dogs come to their new home scared and timid. They will sometimes take several days before they start eating and have anything to do with the new adopters.

It's not easy rescuing a dog. It takes patience and time and LOVE. These dogs need love and understanding, not another rejection.
