Droopy is the most glorious basset, ever. He is huge, and has an ahroooooooo! that can tilt pinball machines in the next county. He loves to be loved, and will lay his big ol' cinderblock head in your lap and moan happily when you rub his ears. He also loves to eat. Just the rattle of the dog cookie jar has him doing the happy dog dance. Droopy's life hasn't always been this good. He came to BRBR after his last owner kicked him in the head and opened a gash so gaping it required staples to close. His dirtbag owner went to jail on animal cruelty charges. Droopy went to the pound with a head full of staples and not much hope to get out of there alive. You see, he's an older guy, probably 8 to 10 years old, and people pass the older ones by because they worry the old dog will die soon. Droopy wants you to know he's ready to start the rest of his life right now. He's not going anywhere. There are dog cookies to eat and belly rubs to get and ahroooooooos to yell.
