A jerk had mistreated his two dogs for years and (of course) had mistreated his landlord until he got evicted. Naturally, he was ready and willing to leave the apartment with the animals locked inside with no food or water until the Marshal came. We heard from his landlord who sought our help so he would not be forced to call the city's animal killing agency. We took both dogs and Alf wound up living with a person and her Mom in the Bronx for the rest of his life.
