My Story

Dear WROC, We wanted to take the time to send you our holiday wishes and our new family photo. Allie has been a blessing for us and we wanted to thank you! She has made our family complete and we are so thankful to have met you. Love from Allie's new family: Mom Lauren, Dad Jonathan, and Yorkie Brother Balin

Hi there, my new name is Allie and I am the tiniest and luckiest almost Westie there ever was. The WROC volunteer walked past my cage in a very high kill shelter - she looked twice - and then walked on. Now, mind you I am very cute and I put on my best Westie face and I did a little dance for her. It must have worked because she came back! She spoke with the shelter staff and they told her if I was not adopted, the next day would be my last! I am so grateful for my second chance and I am the best little dog in the world.

I am a 8 pound, 9-12 month old spayed little girl. I barely survived my spay surgery, but I have a very strong spirit and WROC nursed me back to health. I still need my beauty makeover - that will come as I get stronger. I have all my shots and not only am I adorable, but I am super smart! I have already mastered the doggie door, am housetrained and crate trained though wouldn't be opposed to sleeping on the bed! Did I mention I am pretty darn good on a leash too? I love to play, especially with my foster Mom's three Westies and I will always do a little dance for you at dinner time. Are you my family? You will be lucky to get a little doll like me!!! Send in your application. I am waiting for you. Love & Westie Wishes, Allie

Our rescues are placed on PetFinder and our website at www.WestieRescueOC.com. All of our rescues are fostered in private homes throughout California where they receive medical care and rehabilitation. Not all of our rescues are posted until they are ready for adoption as all rescues are evaluated by their foster home over a 3 - 4 week period (sometimes longer). When we place a rescue, we try to do everything we can to make this transition their very last. If you are unable to adopt, please consider a donation to WROC.
