My Story

1/20 UPDATE: Andy met a loving couple today... no fears whatsoever! He jumped up on the man, took a merry walk with them... they quickly fell in love! Andy is being fostered with them while we wait for his neuter... he'll have a boxer to play with and will live a wonderful life! It's so hard to see him here and now and to know that just a few weeks ago he was SO terrified. Go Andy!!!!!

1/14 UPDATE: Andy is doing SO well! He has transformed into one amazing little fellow. He DOES need training.... But he is openly affectionate with his foster mom and the other dogs. He is probably just a year old, possibly a bit younger. Tomorrow Andy will go to the dog park, and we'll test his social skills out in the real world. :-) He would be a great addition to a home with an active dog or could be the only fella too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Andy was horribly abused by his previous owner. We were contacted by Oakland shelter volunteers about this terrified lad. The moment we saw his photo we knew he was "one of us" :-)
Andy's heritage is anyone's guess... he could be part boxer, part pug or even part boston. he weighs about 25 pounds. Andy is starting to come ou t for food and treats, but will need a very patient and peaceful environment to help him blossom. But make no mistake... this boy *will* be okay... he just needs lots of love.
Stay tuned for an update soon!
