Angel (Schnauzer)

Hi, my name is Angel and my background is pretty sad, but the neat thing is it didn't mar my sweet personality and my superior intelligence.  I guess you might say my self-esteem isn't doing too badly either.

I'm a 2-year old female Schnauzer with floppy ears and a full tail. I came from a small country town around Longview and got rescued by a wonderful woman who talked and talked to my owner, offered some money and got me! Wow, after sitting in a backyard with no shelter, very little water and little food, I got rescued. I sat in a backyard during all those rainstorms in July and hoped someone would come get me. A neighbor who was kind tossed me food and that kept me going.

Anyway, now I'm spayed, current on shots, dewclaws removed, heartworm negative, wormed, blood panel, on heartworm pills, no fleas, and groomed .....and I'm READY! Oh, the big one: I'm housetrained too! The grandmother who owned me initially trained me and I will give a bark when I need to go out and love walks. Expect some shyness at first, but just wait...

I'm now in a wonderful foster home in Plano with two dogs and a family. They will hold me until I can get the perfect home.

What I need is to bond with one or two people -- it comes easily but the first few days I might bark and cry... I've been moved around a bit. I know my name and "come here" and am easily trained. I prefer to be the only dog, but I'm good with cats!
