My Story

Angus is a handsome black male German Shepherd with tan socks. He's approximately 3 years old. He was found in the Kavanaugh area of Hillcrest and has remained in foster care for almost 2 year. It’s high time Angus found a permanent family and home. Angus loves people and other dogs, but he tends to play too hard with cats. His foster home has three cats, which he loves, but they aren't so keen about him. Because he tends to excite easily, older children would be ideal, but because of his size and energy level he is not recommended for a home with smaller or younger children. He loves playing on open land. Shepherds are pack animals and love being with the owner as much as possible. Angus will want to sleep with his guardian in bed or on the floor next to the bed. Angus enjoys riding in the car, walking trails or playing catch. His ideal family would have the time to finish training him. He's at the age that he's mellowing out now, but he still needs some good attention and discipline. Angus is a one and only spirit and you'll fall in love with him immediately. Angus has a very high energy level, but does lay down for TV time or quiet time. He doesn't bark unless something is unusual, making him a very good watch dog. He needs TLC and a little training, but he does know sit, down and come. Angus is getting very good on a leash and loves hiking trails. He also loves to play fetch and tug of war. He dislikes being alone, and his belly doesn't appreciate cheap grade food. The more excitement around Angus, the more Angus gets excited. He is a rough-houser, but not aggressive. He just loves to play and be touched. Angus is a beautiful dog inside and out. He will make a family very happy. Take good care of him and he'll be your best friend forever. Angus is an independent rescue supported by DogsOnly, and so will not be attending the DogsOnly adoption showings at Petco in west Little Rock, but if you would like to learn more or even meet him you can send an email to her rescuer through [email protected]. You can also complete an online adoption application by clicking the links at the top or bottom of his official bio page located at http://www.dogsonly.org/203pop.html. You application or emails will be sent to his guardians without delay.
