My Story

Ashley” – English coonhound mix, 2 year old, female. Ashley was rescued from Licking County Animal Shelter when they were full and hounds have a tough time getting adopted. Ashley was emaciated and had an ear infection so the warden deemed her “unadoptable” and would have put her down. Her sweet face and gentle disposition melted my heart and I walked out with my first hound to foster. 3 days of antibiotics allowed her to stop scratching at her ears and some good dog food and regular feedings has added 6 lbs. to her beautiful frame. She is housebroken & crate trained and loves other dogs (and my two year old human child). She is incrediblly sweet natured and is adorable when she perks her ears up (which of course she wouldn’t do for the camera). She steals stuffed animals, but reminds me she is not a Labrador when I offer to throw the ball! Ashley is up-to-date on vaccinations/spayed/on heartworm & flea/tick prevention. If you are interested in meeting Ashley, please contact Deborah at [email protected]. THANK YOU, CLAEYS FAMILY FOR SPONSORING ASHLEY.
