Just nine weeks old and as sweet as her name, Baby Ruth is an adorable little baby Chocolate Lab. She is extremely well socialized to people and loves to be held or climb in any available lap. Baby Ruth relishes being cuddled. She's curious about everything, loves to be loved, and has the little velvety paws and sweet breath only little puppies have.
Puppies, while adorable, are not for everyone. Think carefully if your lifestyle has room for the extraordinary responsibility of raising a puppy. Do you truly have time for the daily nurturing and constant supervision required? Do you mind piddles on your floor, chewing on your things and, before you know it, a “teenage puppy” with ideas of her own? The proper handling and socialization of a puppy are critical to their development into a well adjusted adult. As she grows, Baby Ruth will require your steady, kind leadership, commitment to her training and rely on you for her extensive daily exercise needs.
If you would like Baby Ruth, a “dog to be”, to consider your application, please tell us why your home would be suitable for a puppy in the comments section of your application.
Baby Ruth will only be placed in a home with (1) adults or older children who can treat a dog with kindness and respect and (2) one that clearly has the dedication and substantial time throughout the day to devote to raising a puppy to responsible adulthood.
In addition to the adoption fee, there is a required $200 spay deposit refundable upon proof of spay. You will be required to sign an Adoption Agreement.
