My Story

In late September, PAWS received a call about Bada's plight. His elderly owner had passed away, leaving him alone, tethered to a doghouse. Fortunately, observant mail carrier Mike stepped in, ensuring Bada had daily food and water, fostering a fast friendship between the two. As the weather turned colder, Mike, concerned for Bada's well-being, shared his story with fellow mail carrier Rhyan, who, in turn, reached out to PAWS supporter Annette, a fairy dog-mother to many. Facing a full shelter, Annette and volunteers provided Bada with straw and treats, ensuring his safety and warmth until a kennel became available. Annette's dedication extended to removing a red ant hill, and she continued regular visits, staying in close contact with Bada's mail carrier angels. On September 27, Bada was freed from his chain, finding refuge at PAWS. Now, he's basking in the love and attention bestowed upon him by our caring staff and volunteers. Bada Bing, a lively 3-year-old Pitbull overflowing with energy and affection. Rescued from a challenging past following his owner's passing, Bada is thriving at PAWS, eagerly making new friends. Despite his strength, he impressively walks well on a leash. It's worth noting that because Bada never had toys of his own, he may resource guard them, making him better suited for a family with older kids. With his quick learning ability and a heart full of love, Bada Bing is ready to charm his way into the hearts and homes of his forever family.
