Get to know the Diamond: Love and laughs await Bailey's furever family, and she awaits an experienced furever family who can help her feel safe after her traumatic past. She is housebroken, enjoys fun walks (although her leash manners could use some brushing up), and enjoys lots of playtime! While she loves the Massachusetts weather, especially the snow days, the big move has exasperated her old insecurities. She still shows her sweet, fun, and affectionate side to the people who've taken the time to get to know her. She is looking for an adult-only home as an only pet, and ideally in a quiet neighborhood with few other animals around. She is not a candidate for apartment or multi-family style homes or city living. Her new family will need to be very dog-experienced, ideally with fearful dogs, and committed to helping her feel safe and with them. When she opens up, she loves to give big hugs, run and play, and chew on her toys. She is also a "talker" and will bark both when she's playing, which can be very silly and entertaining, and also when she's upset and trying to communicate her feelings. She loves her food as well, so much so that she is afraid others may take it from her and needs space while eating. Behavioral training to help her new family build trust and open healthy communication would be a great way to start her new life. Basics: Age: 4 years old D.O.B.: Approximately September 2019 Weight: 62lbs Needs: Experience with dogs required. Needs an adult-only home. No apartment-style or multi-family homes. No dense neighborhoods. Needs a secure fenced-in yard for supervised play and chill time. Needs to be an only pet. No more than 8 hours alone a day; longer would require a potty and exercise break in the middle.
