Balto is living at our Adoption Center. Submit an application from our website then come in during open hours to meet him. Balto is: - Neutered - Up to date on vaccines - Microchipped - Heartworm negative Balto is: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: He has done well with free roam, though has only been left at home alone with another dog so far Leash walking: Still learning, but doing well. He may pull toward other dogs to say hi. Dog social: Yes! He lives with a resident dog in his foster home, and also lived with 2 large dogs previously. He loves to meet other dogs on walks too. Cat social: He has done well with a cat after a slow, proper intro period Kid friendly: He has done well in very brief interactions with kids while on walks. Balto likes: - Going for car rides and feeling the wind on his ears - Giving an "Aroo" when you come home, to let you know how much he missed you - Spending time outdoors and getting in all the sniffs! - Being your shadow in the home, just in case you need a snuggle or drop some crumbs Balto is a sweet beagle boy who spent his earlier life as a farm dog, so he is still adjusting to life spent in a city home! As such, he would love a forever home where he can still get to spend time outdoors. He has always had a dog pal to keep him company, so would likely do best in a home with another dog. He is very attached to his humans, so may need some help in learning to be home alone for longer stretches of time. Balto's adoption fee is $300 and he is ready to meet his family!
