My Story

Mt. Bandit came to us as a stray. Initially very friendly, he soon began to exhibit behavior issues. He is a one-person dog, forming a strong bond with his foster and not allowing many others to come near her. Bandit is incredibly protective and loving once he feels secure. He requires slow introductions and time to feel safe before showing his true good nature. Currently, he is on doggy Prozac and is doing much better. We believe he may have come from an abusive owner, which explains some of his challenges. However, we see his potential and are confident he can improve with a few meet-and-greet sessions to help him get to know you better.
