My Story

*Gentle giant who is soft in his ways and a true friend to all. Delightful and so easy to have by YOUR side and in YOUR life! If you peek in the dictionary under "Gentle Giant," no doubt you will find BANE as an example of this type of creature. Hound mix Bane is Mr Polite, Mr Charming, Mr Cool Dude all wrapped up in a sleek brindle coat. With a very barrel shaped body and tiny head, he has a curious but yet very appealing look to him and we love him!! Now a more elderly fellow at 8yrs, clearly his prior human took their time in molding him to be so darn nice, soft in his ways and just a major chill of a lovebug! Polite and very much go with the flow, everyone is immediately welcome in his world- albeit other dogs or humans. Recently on a walk with 2 other dogs, they were going circles around our more lumbering paced guy, sniffing at him and playfully nudging him and he seemed happy to just be part of the social group outing. At 90lbs, Bane has few pounds to shed (but don't we all?), but even with his more massive size/footprint, he's super easy to manage and did we mention incredibly delightful to hang out with? We give Bane a big 2 thumbs up and sure wish you'd come on by and see for yourself how wonderful a pet he is. Facebook update June 15: No doubt BANE is just about the nicest dog in the county. We met up with our Gentle Giant when his foster mom Peggy came by to pick up meds for him. An older gentleman at 8yrs, he's been a super easy foster and has been excellent in sharing his temp home with a small 20lb mixed breed dog. Pushing 90lbs, he is a big guy (but super manageable) who could stand to lose some pounds...but don't we all?? More recently, Bane has developed a tilt in his neck which we believe is nerve related but we're hopeful it will resolve itself - this has also caused his long tongue to be even more droopy as it eases out of his mouth! Still, we are hopeful that Bane will catch someone's eye so he can have one last and most spectacular pet assignment. Might it be with you???
