My Story

Would you consider picking Banjo? Banjo is a 60-pound sweetheart who is gentle and loyal. He's the perfect companion dog for someone who wants both snuggles and security from their pet. Not only does Banjo alert his foster with a big bark when guests arrive, but he snuggles and keeps her feet warm at night. Banjo is quite the gentleman. He takes treats gently and can even catch them mid-air! Unlike many larger dogs, his foster says Banjo doesn't make a mess or drop water everywhere when he gets a drink. He is a great listener and should be highly trainable; he appears to be a lab mix who is friendly and lovable. He is equally great with men and women, but it's unknown how he is with small children or cats. He is uninterested in the bunny who lives in his foster home. Banjo is crazy about his toys and games, especially playing tug-of-war. If you give up too easily, he returns the rope to your feet to wait for the next round of fun! And if you aren't available for snuggle time, Banjo will focus his affection on one of his stuffy toys instead. He is more interested in hanging out with people than playing with puppies he has met. Wanna take Banjo on adventures? He is well-behaved in the car and loves to sightsee. Although his exact age is unknown, the vet estimates that Banjo is 4-6 years old. He came from an animal control in Missouri where he was scheduled to be euthanized until a foster stepped forward to save him. He is heartworm-negative, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Banjo's adoption fee is $100 due to a generous sponsor. Think Banjo might be your new best friend? Fill out an application at istodaymydayrescue.org to get more information.
