Please email the completed application to [email protected] Baxter is a 4 month old heeler/corgi mix who came to us from a reservation. He has an underbite so will need to keep an eye on his teeth as his permanent ones are coming in and monitoring his bite over time. He is working on his house training and crate training and all things puppy. He needs a family who is willing to help him be the best adult he can be. He loves to play and run in his fenced in yard at his foster home. He can be shy at first but warms up to new people and situations. We rotate between the Burnsville, Cottage Grove, and Forest Lake PetSmart locations each month. Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
