Bean

Bean is ready to find her forever home! She is about 1.5 years old and was found as a stray on the street, skinny and scared. After no one claimed her as theirs, she joined the PBSF family. Her sweet and spunky demeanor and trusting eyes win over the hearts of everyone she meets (not to mention the sweet pink freckles on her nose). She loves to play with toys, wrestle with her pittie foster brothers, play fetch and go for walks. Her nose and tummy turn pink when she gets excited, and it's adorable. She does great in the car. She goes to work with her foster parents everyday to oversee their work and sleep under their desks - in fact, her excellent behavior just won her Employee of the Month for May! She does great with dog-savvy kids. She is perfectly potty trained, and is great in her crate. She likes being around other dogs. Because she was starving on the street, she can occasionally become possessive over food, so we just feed her separately. It's not a big deal. Her occasional food guarding has improved over the month her foster family has had her, as she's learned she will now be safe, career for, and loved forever. We think it won't be a concern for much longer as she keeps relaxing into safety. A great thing about being food motivated is that she likes training and is learning so much. She will thrive with continued training. Bean is young, curious and playful. She requires a fenced-in yard and a family committed to walking her so she can explore the world (she's good on a leash). She has learned what snuggling is, and adores it. She also loves meeting people, and has very good manners when meeting them and hanging out with neighbors.
