MEET BEAR: Hello, my name is Bear! I am a 3-year-old Shih Tzu mix weighing in at a compact 12 pounds. I've had a bit of a bumpy start to my journey, as I was a stray not once, but twice in July. My previous owner reclaimed me once, but unfortunately left me behind the second time. However, thanks to Furever Tails Animal Rescue, I now have a chance to find a loving forever home. When I first arrived at the shelter, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and not adjusting well. But with the love and care of my foster mom, I quickly started to come out of my shell. She noticed that I was matted and needed to be shaved down, and now I look and feel so much better! Just keep in mind that my fabulous coat will require professional grooming every 6 weeks to keep me looking my best. I have a very friendly and easy-going nature. I get along well with cats and dogs. Car rides are one of my favorite things in the world - the wind in my hair and new sights to see; it's pure bliss! Going for walks is another activity that brings me so much joy. I love exploring the world outside and taking in all the interesting smells. When it comes to downtime, cuddling is my specialty. I enjoy snuggling up with my foster mom and catching some Z's. In fact, she lets me sleep in her bed because I'm such a good cuddler. I'm a sweet and affectionate boy who loves to give kisses to show my appreciation for your love and attention. I also love having access to a fenced-in yard where I can stretch my legs and run around freely. However, for my safety, it's essential that I'm not tethered outside. I'm looking for a forever family that understands my needs and is willing to provide me with the care, love, and attention that every dog deserves.
