Bear & Marley

Bear (tan) and Marley (white) are a 12 and 13 year old bonded pair of little friends. There are actually brothers from different litters a year apart ?? Their elderly owner passed away and these boys came to rescue. They are small boys, Marley (white) is just a little over 8 lbs, and Bear is 10 lbs. Bear received a dental while he’s been with us in Rescue. Marley could certainly use a dental, but unfortunately we have discovered that he has an enlarged heart, confirmed by an echocardiogram at a specialty clinic, so he’s not a good candidate for the dental. The specialist did not prescribe any medications as he’s not in heart failure at all, but he does get a strong cough medication daily as we believe his larger heart at times is pressing on his esophagus, causing some coughing. The medication helps a LOT and he’s quite comfortable. Marley also has a wonky gait due to luxating patellas, but you would never know as this little energizer bunny zooms around the yard with Bear. ? Both boys are neutered and up to date on all of their vaccines. Now they are looking for a calm and loving retirement home together. Could that home be yours??
