Beau

Calling all our Chi lovers, Beau is a cute little 9lb boy looking for a special owner. He appears to have been someone's pet as he is crate trained, housetrained, and loves his leash walks! At some stage he has developed a cataract, not age related as he is approximately 3 years old. The cataract is probably from an injury. He currently has no sight in his right eye but the vet advises he can live a long and full life with it, like a person could. He has some great manners, rarely barks, does not jump on furniture, waits to be picked up and then loves to snuggle. Since coming to Underdog at the end of January he has had a few reactivity issues with strangers, but any dog savvy person could handle this pretty easily. He gets along with other small dogs but we think he will be best as an only dog. He loves his toys and runs around with them in his mouth. We think he’s the cutest! Untested with cats. Up-to-date on shots/preventives and micro-chipped so he is ready for his furever home! Adoption fee is $400. All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Sorry, we do not adopt outside of Florida. Applicants are subject to a home visit, and veterinary references will be checked. Please include a vet reference (including phone number) when applying online. Our application process: FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue. SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her. We take into consideration the dog's activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc. If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again.
