Bella

Meet Bella! Bella is about 4 1/12 years old and is thought to be a German Shepherd Mix (she is a petite lil' 50 lbs!) Bella has been through quite a bit recently, so we're hoping to find her a nice calm, low-key home where she can decompress. Unfortunately, Bella's owner passed away, which is naturally very traumatic for pets. Bella found herself in another shelter where she simply wasn't getting any interest, which is why we brought her here. We hoped a new audience would help her find a family to call her own. Unfortunately, the stress of the shelter environment takes a bit of a toll on Bella when it comes to the other animals. We don't know what her exposure to other animals was like before she was in a shelter, and we recognize that often times reactivity to other dogs can simply be a 'shelter behavior' because they are in unfamiliar territory with a lot of stimulus. Because of this, our hope would be that Bella could find a home where she's your one and only baby, and hopefully after she can decompress for a bit, her reaction to other pets will settle down. If you're someone who's ok with simply having one dog at a time, Bella is your perfect companion. She's friendly with every person she meets, she LOVES walks and hikes, she does great on leash, she rides perfectly in the car, and she even loves water! A hose and a kiddie pool on a hot day in her back yard will be perfect for her! Bella's ideal family would be one who understands what she's been through and is willing to give her time to re-adjust to all of the new things she's had to go through. Luckily for her humans, she's potty trained/house broken, spayed, vaccinated, and ready to settle in. If you're somewhat of an introvert personality who just wants a dog at home waiting for you after your day, Bella is your girl!
