Ben the Beagle came to the rescue from a owner surrender. For the first 9 months of his life Ben was the best friend and prized possession of a young boy. Ben would much prefer to sleep in the bed and be a best buddy than be living in a rescue. Ben does like to put his nose to the ground and go running so a fenced in yard would probably be best. The rescue has had no problem with him digging out. Ben caught on to the routine quickly and seems to pick up changes quickly as well.
