Benny

Benny was returned to us at the age of 8 months through no fault of his own. He had never been set boundaries or taught basic obedience. He has been with a trainer to learn these skills. Although he is still a work in progress, the ideal solution would be for him to be in a home environment where he can practice his skills daily. Benny has transitioned to a home environment and is thriving! He shows no signs of aggression and interacts well with dogs of all sizes. He appears to understand the need to be gentle with smaller or older dogs. When it comes to cats, he's friendly, although he tends to chase them if they run-it's all in good fun! An encounter with a non-fleeing cat suggests he's playful rather than harmful. Benny is also comfortable around children of various ages and has significantly improved his play manners with other dogs. Currently, he's mastering his recall skills, walks quite well on a leash, and is familiar with the commands 'sit' and 'down' (still perfecting these), as well as 'wait'. Benny is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Ideal home is an active family with the ability to set consistent boundaries especially while he's learning and helping reinforce.
