Benny is nothing if not the picture of resilience! We rescued sweet 6-month-old, 23 lb Benny from the streets of a rural Texas town. The poor guy was laying next to a garbage can and had the most heartbreaking limp from being hit by a car. Thankfully, Benny is now getting a taste of the good life as he lounges on the couch in his foster home. Thanks to some pain meds, Benny is getting around a bit better while he waits for surgery to repair his broken leg. Despite everything he has been through, Benny is playful and easygoing. He loves playing with other dogs, giving his foster mom kisses, and napping on the couch. Benny hasn't been in his foster home long, but so far, he appears to be house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. He is understandably scared of cars passing by when he goes for walks, so he's hoping for a home with a fenced in yard. According to Benny's foster mom, "it's hard to put into words just how cute and sweet Benny is!" So what are you waiting for? Benny's leg surgery is on April 15th, so he's putting the call out for adoption applications so that he can go to his very own forever home not long after that.
