My Story

BENTLEE, the scruffy one, PLEASE SHARE FOR ADOPTION/ FOSTER NEW INFO: 7/2/24. Bentlee’s foster mom here. He is truly a gift. Sweet, loving and learning to be a good boy every day. He’s worked his way into our hearts but we truly believe he needs a young pup sibling or another pup he can play with on a regular basis. He might be up to 9 pounds of pure love now. He has a great appetite and is enjoying trying new nibbles like watermelon and chicken. Yes I’m spoiling him. But how can you not????? We take him on short car rides and he’s getting better with that. “Bentlee did very well at my dog sitters. Met new friends and won over her teenage boys who begged to adopt him. Dog sitter said their own 3 were plenty ?. Bentlee took over her lap which is reserved for Callie. Here is her look. She was NOT impressed.” Bentlee is looking to mix it up in foster or better yet an adopter. He is a scruffy boy, just under a year, sweet but a bit unused to the sights and sounds of the real world. He was adopted and sadly returned because he just wasn’t a home and lifestyle fit. His adoptive family had been through a tough time with a previous rescue and their anxiety and his new changes fed off each other. It wasn’t meant to be. He has settled in well back with Judi but would benefit from a younger pack/pup friend. He is a bit rambunctious with the older dogs in the home. Bentlee: he’s a sweet, smart boy who loves to play. He’s a bit much for my two (they’re 7 and 4 and prefer to chill). He would thrive in a home with another young pup to play with. He’s working on potty training and most days we are successful. He’s not your typical male dog that likes to pee on every bush. He prefers to hold it in and give you one looooong pee. Poops twice a day with a long walk. Good in the crate when we’re out but sleeps in bed, usually under the covers with us. Excellent appetite and loves his rewards for pottying outside. He’s 8 pounds of love. He does get car sick poor guy. He’s doing well here but I know he’d prefer someone to play with. He is all puppy and needs some more training and chewing correction. Not a young child dog as quick and fast, fence best, another young playful companion dog? Training and social time outside the home will be important to continue Knoxville TN ?All FAQ’s and information, READ this Facebook post first. https://www.facebook.com/100063745865279/posts/377006574434202/?mibextid=DcJ9fc ??Then, ??TO APPLY to foster or adopt.
