My Story

Bermuda is a sweet mixed breed puppy who will melt your heart with his adorable ears and his big personality. He was an excellent house guest during a weekend sleepover and quickly adapted to the rules of my house and is very trainable. He is high energy and would love some kids to play and snuggle with although he might knock down smaller children since he sometimes thinks he's a 10 lb. lap dog. Because he's high energy, he'd do great with an athletic owner or an owner that wants to commit to walks and exercise as he will keep you accountable with your exercise goals! He likes toys and will play with the other dogs as well to burn up some of his energy. He does well on a leash, although he sometimes pulls a little, especially at the beginning of his walks so he'll need just a little fine tuning and he'll be perfect. He's a great car rider and never had any anxiety or motion sickness. He was happy to sit in the back seat and he enjoyed going for rides. He loves other dogs and showed no aggression. He never tried to dig or climb out of my fenced yard and was quite content with the space I gave him. When I called him, he always came to me. He showed no aggression towards my cats and often showed little interest in them, however if they ran from him, he did want to chase him. He'll need to be monitored with cats so he understands the rules a little better. He is not an excessive barker and never barked at strangers during our walks and was very quiet during his stay. He did surprise me as he barked and alerted me to an unexpected house guest, his bark sounds much larger than him so he's a great watch dog as well. He is not fully housebroken so he needs to be worked with, however it was very easy to watch him as he was a velcro dog and followed me from room to room. The last day he was with me, he had zero accidents in the house and was with me all day. Again, he is highly trainable and just needs a little work. He'll make someone a wonderful pet. He made great improvements with me over the weekend, and I only worked with him for 2 days. I can only imagine what someone could do working with him for just a couple weeks.
