My Story

Meet Bert, a 3-year-old sweetheart who's ready to find his forever home! Bert may be a bit shy at first, but he warms up quickly with some patience and love. He has a special fondness for cats and gets along great with other dogs. Bert's gentle nature and loving heart make him the perfect companion for a family looking to add a bit of joy to their lives. Interested in giving Bert a forever home? Fill out an adoption application on our website at www.metrodetroitanimals.org or visit him at the MaryAnn Wright Animal Adoption and Education Center. Let's make Bert's dream of a loving home come true!

For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).
