My Story

The foster parents have written the bios you will read with what they know about the dog. Please read the bios carefully and ensure they are a fit for your household. Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------ Fostered in Windsor Beth (Lilbeth) is a 4 year old, 11 lb female Chihuahua/dachshund mix. This sweet girl is a bundle of joy and deserves a home where she will be cherished. She is good with other dogs and would be happy as an only dog as long as her person is available a lot of the time (retired or works from home). She is shy with unknown people and experiences but given time, patience, and love, she will warm up. She has not met a cat but would probably be fine. She loves running around the house with a toy in her mouth, loves to dig out the squeaker, and enjoys being cared for like a dog in a home should. She is housetrained and will need some training with a new home and routine. She sleeps all night in her crate but will happily nap in bed with her person. Beth loves to explore her foster mom's backyard and a fenced yard is a must for her, as this is where she is most happy and you will see her doing her zoomies. She enjoys her daily walks and is excellent on a leash. Beth’s adopter will need to commit to working with Beth around confidence and trust as it will take her some time to feel safe. Because she has led such a sheltered life, everything is new to her. She has made incredible gains in the last few months and seeks out belly rubs and kisses from her foster mom every chance she gets. Beth would do best in a quiet home, where she can continue to blossom. Apply today so you can speak to Beth’s foster mom to learn more about Beth and to see if you are a good fit for her!
