Big Ben, lovingly called BB, has a sad story. BB was loved so very much by his owner, but unfortunately they ended up homeless. BB was passed around for months, but eventually he found himself at the shelter in April 2024 and that was when he was found to be heartworm positive. He was at risk of being euthanized due to shelter overcrowding when a foster stepped forward for SparKy and offered to take him in if we could rescue him, and of course we said yes!
Ben is a lot like Mary Poppins - practically perfect in every way!
He is housetrained, gets along great with kids, cats, and other dogs. He is crate trained, very chill personality, not a destructive bone in his body, and the softest coats you just want to snuggle. Adopter or foster to adopt will have to agree to continue his heartworm treatment which SparKy will support.
