Big Mac

Big Mac is a simple-minded boy who's super easy to please. He will happily entertain himself collecting sticks or sunbathing in the yard, occasionally checking in to get a belly rub and smother you with slobbery kisses. He has lots of love to give and there's no convincing him that 65lbs is too big to be a lap dog. He's short and stout, so it's hardly fair to consider him "large" right? Mac came to us from a rural shelter, rescued just hours before he was scheduled to be euthanized. His health and the scars on his body tell the story of a dog who's had a rough life, but his smile and enthusiasm say differently. Mac loves every person he meets, kiddos included. He doesn't mind hanging around other dogs, but he does appreciate his personal space. We think he'd prefer to be the only pet in the home so he can lounge at his leisure and have all the love and attention to himself. At ~7 years old, Mac doesn't have an abundance of energy, but he will try to convince you otherwise. He will eagerly tag along for outings and adventures but be warned, once he's tired (doesn't take long) he will shamelessly plop down on the ground and refuse to move until he's good and ready!
