COURTESY POST.
I met Birdy at my golf course job around mid September. We began coaxing her to trust her by giving her left over hotdogs and buckets of fresh water, eventually she warmed up to us - and every golfer and her personality began to shine through. During our time of warming up to each other she would follow the golfers around the course all day long, running until she was sleepy enough to snuggle up in the sand bunkers. Once we brought her home she was very hesitant to everything inside, it was obvious she was not allowed inside wherever she was prior to us. She was rather intimidated by our 2 senior dogs during their first introduction and we did keep them separated for the first couple of days just so everyone could get situated. Since having her, she has grown to love them, her and my maltipoo play and she’s gentle enough to not hurt him. Birdy also plays with my other big dog, lab/pit mix, and they wrestle on the couch throughout the day. She is full of energy and affection, she likes cuddling on the couch, going on walks around the neighborhood, and looking out the windows of our apartment. She is approximately 3 years old pit bull, white with some black spotting, Birdy is up to date on all shots and has been spayed and microchipped by us. She has grown a lot in the last 4 months, she is more confident, she’s goofy, loves running in circles while waiting for breakfast and observing us get ready for work. She is potty trained, and loves being outside. Birdy is not big on other animals, she gets very uneasy upon introduction and has the tendency to try to chase cats. Some commands she knows is sit, shake and wait (for her food or for doors to open).
