I feel bad labeling Blackie as a 'senior', but age-wise, he is one. Mentally & physically, he begs to differ!!
When Blackie came in as a stray, he was so matted it was absolutely horrible. He not only had matted fur, but there were sticks and burrs matted into his fur, we couldn't even tell he was a boy until he got shaved. He was someone's pet at some time, as he is quite well fed (overweight). He's a very friendly boy, and thinks he's a chubby lap dog. He is defintely an older boy, perhaps around 7-9 years old
Blackie's been in foster home now for a few weeks. The foster cannot rave enough about him. He LOVES to go for walks. Sticks right by people when loose. He is great with the other dogs, and judging from his behavior, he would adore kids. He thinks he should be a lap dog, despite being chubby. He has been in the house some, and he has not done anything. We suspect he's housetrained.
To put it bluntly - BLACKIE ROCKS! He would adore a family of his own.
