Meet Blaze. Blaze is a 2.5-year-old Pittie/Hound mix that was returned more than a year ago after living in his home since 3 months old. He lost everything he had ever known.
Blaze came back to us with some behavioral issues. He struggles with resource guarding but has been making strides since being placed on anxiety medication and working with the rescue trainer. He needs a very dog-experienced and patient owner to continue his training and respect his space. He is fully vetted, house, crate, and leash trained, is amazing with all dogs (lives in doggy daycare), good with people, and also passed his cat test. He must be placed in a home without children.
Blaze is a young active pup full of love and life. He goes on the Sunday pack walk every weekend, where he does wonderfully socializing with the other dogs and the volunteers. He has gone through basic obedience and responds to reinforcement well. He needs to be stimulated, engaged, and exercised, so would thrive in a home that would keep him active and continue his training.
Blaze has experienced so much abandonment in his short life, so needs time to ease into his new home and decompress. Most of all, Blaze needs a home that will work with him and not abandon him. He has gone through enough heartbreak and loss.
