RAWL adopts by application process. The application can be found on www.rawldogs.org. It is always best to complete the application prior to coming to RAWL. Out of state adopters must have a verifiable vet reference. RAWL does not transport our dogs. All potential adopters will need to come to the RAWL facility. QUESTIONS? Please email RAWL at [email protected]
Bluey 10 month old Heeler Mix. 37 pounds. Mature weight should be under 50 pounds.
Bluey came to RAWL with Chili. They were owned by a back yard breeder trying to make a quick buck. They lived most of their life in and outside of a kennel with some socialization. When they came in they were obviously worried but have since shown their personalities.
Bluey is your typical cattle dog. Smart and looking for a job. Does it need to be herding cattle? Nah, but he does need an outlet. Possibly retrieving something to engage his mind. Obedience training would be a good one. He is learning to walk on a leash and doing OK. We will continue to work on this until he is adopted. He is friendly and playful after a few minutes of meeting a stranger. He is great with dogs but a "hard" player. He would benefit from an adult dog that is willing to set boundaries.
