Bodie

Bodie is approx. 5 - 6 years old in these pictures taken September 24, 2005. He came to us in May 2005. Bodie is a very good boy, who loves to get and give attention. He does have a limp on his back right leg, but that doesn't stop him from running around the yard or following after you.

March 17, 2007 - UPDATE:
Bodie enjoys a walk with a Girl Scout from Bentonville Troop 43. He loved all of the extra attention that day.

June 15, 2007 - UPDATE:
We took Bodie in to have his teeth cleaned and also had his leg looked at. The vet said Bodie needs surgery for a torn Cruciates Ligament then he will need to go to someplace that will provide him a clean and safe place to heal. A place where we wouldn't need to worry about other dogs jumping on him.

July 2008 ? UPDATE:
Bodie was re-evaluated by the vet after he went lame in his back legs in June. He is walking much better now, but still drags his rear legs a bit. Bodie has such a zeal for life and he doesn?t let his disability get him down. He still runs all over the yard as fast as he can. The vet does not think that surgery would do Bodie any good. Some medication for arthritis and pain, good supplements, a loving home where he can stay indoors, along with a steady diet of ?good food,? is really all Bodie needs. Bodie is such a loving dog.
