My Story

Bonnie means "pretty" and this young girl certainly lives up to her name! This petite, 18 month old coonie is stunningly beautiful and sweet as can be. Bonnie is making phenomenal progress in her foster home after being rescued from a situation in which food and human attention were both scarce. In the almost 6 months since her rescue, she has radically transformed from a scrawny scared little girl to a happy, healthy and confident little lady. She weighs about 45 lbs. We know that her mom was a Redtick Coonhound and that there were several male coonhounds on the property that could be her father. She LOVES other dogs and playing tug-of-war and chase. She is good with the resident cat and does not exhibit a high prey drive. She will often smile to greet you and your heart will melt when she flashes those pearly whites! Bonnie still has puppy energy and will benefit from daily exercise and would thrive with an active family with time to spend with her and a fenced yard with a doggie playmate that will show her the ropes. Bonnie is very food motivated and with a treat reward, she can perform sit, shake and lay down. She is housetrained, crate trained and rides well in a car. She is waiting in the Augusta area.
