Boomer

Meet Boomer! This Miniature Poodle mix is likely 1.5 years old. He is about 16 pounds. He has come such a long way in his foster home. He was originally picked up running stray and was severely matted and very dirty. He was traumatized. It took him a few days to get settled into his foster home but he has blossomed already. He gets along with other friendly dogs, cats, and older children that respect dogs. He is scared of big, energetic dogs. He would benefit from an owner who has experience with dogs who have experienced trauma. He is shy with new people but once he has accepted you as a friend, he's the most loyal dog you'll ever meet. He loves to snuggle and be close to his foster mom. He knows his name and simple commands like come and sit. When he's excited, he stands on his back legs and does a little dance. He is housebroken and when he needs to go potty he runs to the back door and puts his paws on the door and gently taps. Once he does his business, he races back to the door, ready to come inside. Boomer is ready to find a loving home. That will cherish and spoil him for all the years to come. Boomer is currently living with a volunteer foster family.
