My Story

**Update** (1/18/14) We were so sad to receive the news today that Boomer had gone to the Rainbow Bridge on 12/21/13. This gentle giant touched our hearts during the year that he fostered with us. Boomer had the best life with his mom, and she is missing him so much. His blindness did not limit him, and he just loved his long walks with his mom! Boomer was one of a kind.....and he taught us so much about the resilience of a special needs rescue dog. RIP.....our sweet man, Boomer......(12/8/09) Boomer has found an amazing home with a wonderful mom and a canine brother who is the same breed. He is adjusting so well to his new surroundings. What a lucky boy to find such a wonderful home! Have a greatl life, Boomer! We will miss you! (11/1/08) Boomer , our "gentle giant", s a wonderful older, large, brown lab who really needs a foster or adoptive home. Boomer is upset by the constant activity at our rescue with dogs coming and going all the time. Because of his blindness, so much change makes him uncomfortable. Due to past health issues and his age, it has been decided that Boomer should not be neutered at this point. Because of that, he will only be placed into a home where all other dogs are spayed or neutered to avoid any issues. Other than his blindness, Boomer is a very healthy dog. He just loves to take long walks with his human. Please consider giving this special needs, older boy a home of his own and the attention that he deserves!
