**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Hi there, I'm Boots! Up until my rescue I lived my life on a short chain. It was very lonely living outside for such a long time by myself, so I have a lot to make up for now that i'm safe! Although I wasn't always treated the best by my owners, I still can't help but to love everyone I meet. I am still working on learning my manners and leash skills - I just get so excited for attention! I'm decidedly NOT a fan of cats, but have done very well when it comes to playgroups with female dogs; what can I say, I love my canine buddies! The shelter staff often relies on me to learn if new dogs are friendly, because being social is what I do! I've got 'sit' down pretty solid, and am good about keeping a clean kennel, so I think I'll be a rockstar in a home environment. While I've done a lot of maturing at the shelter I'm still pretty high energy, so I am looking for an active home who can help me learn what being a part of a family is really like.
