Bridget

Bridget is a confident and happy dog with an energetic personality. Just because she is missing a rear leg, you need not feel sorry for her. She is extremely well-adjusted and not phased in the least. She was found after being hit by a car and both back legs were effected. We tried everything medically possible to save the worst of the two legs, but it was not to be. Since having the leg amputated, she is no longer in pain and has adjusted beautifully. It does not slow her down in the slightest. She love running, playing with toys and sticks, loving and snuggling with her people, and playing with all other animals, including cats. Her foster mom says she is "assertively friendly" so cats don't really care for her, but she loves them anyway! Ideally, she would do best in a home with another active young dog to play with or arranged playdates with a young doggy friend. Kids over 6 years would be best since she can be clumsy in her very affectionate way and could inadvertently knock over smaller children. Bridget is a sweet and happy girl looking for a "furever" home where she has a fenced yard to run and play.
