My Story

Please welcome our newest Forgotten Frosty Face - Brie. She has a special connection to the rescue, she is the mother of a dog that one of our board member owns. So when her dad became terminally ill, he asked us to make certain she was cared for, we promised we would. A promise is a promise - right? Well things got complicated when her dad passed suddenly and she was still with him at the home. Unable to contact the next of kin immediately, Brie was impounded at the Collier County Animal Services facility. Those folks get a nod of thanks - they immediately placed Brie with a foster, due to her age (8 years) and circumstances they realized she would not do well at the shelter. At this point, our rescue was contacted by the family regarding Brie and her dad, she has been the property of Collier County for about two weeks. Melissa, Program Coordinator from Collier County paved the way for Brie to be brought into our rescue as a Forgotten Frosty Face and placed with a wonderful foster that recently lost her Dane to lymphoma. Brie was transported from Collier County Animal Control to her new foster mom in Tampa. She's doing amazingly well and getting royally spoiled. I on the other hand am still seeing white lines in my sleep from two days on the road? - but a promise is a promise.
