My Story

This is Britteny. She is quite a dog. She just turned 12 in October 2009. She used to be a 76 pound dog but weighed 43 pounds when she came to the shelter. She has had blood work done and there is no reason for her weight loss other than lack of food. When her owners got 2 more dogs we believe that they could not afford to feed all of them well so Brit suffered. Other than being very thin (has gained 6 pounds) she is in good health. Very perky and happy with good joints and no arthritus. She has a very shinny coat. Most of her life she lived with a Choc Lab.She can sit and shake hands. She loves to sit with her head on your lap. She wants to be in a comfortable warm place for the rest of her life. LOVES to be with people. Keeps her kennel very clean so may be housetrained. She is $95. 1/16/10 Brittany is in foster care near Mankato. She is doing well and adjusting to being in the house. She comes when called and stays close. She is a nice, gentle, quiet, sweet girl.
