PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION BROWNIE IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA. Brownie and her siblings were scheduled to be euthanized before they even had a chance at life. At only 5 months old, they found themselves at the local pound. After being one of the longest residents in an overflowing county pound with no resources or help to get these dogs homes, they ended up on the euthanasia list to create space for the never-ending stray intakes. We couldn't let that happen, so we stepped in. A note from her foster: This sweet girl has been through the wringer, but she is a sweet soul. She is super gentle and shy; it takes her a bit to come out of her shell. She loves her crate but she’s opening up and will come out to play when you leave the door open. She is crate trained; will never make a mess in there and doesn’t bark. She is getting better about the leash, but when she’s done going potty, she wants to go right back inside & will often pull and jerk against you. She is working on house training but would benefit from a routine. She is good with dogs and kids, although she seems to prefer adults. All puppies will have typical energy and require a devoted adopter willing to put in the time and effort to train them. Puppies are not guaranteed to be house trained but will soon start crate training once fully weaned. Puppies this age are great to introduce to children as well as other animals. Brownie will be adopted under a spay contract with an adoption fee of $500 and $100 of that fee will be reimbursed to the adopter once proof of spay/neuter is complete.
