Brownie is a beautiful spayed female Chocolate Labrador/Pit Bull Terrier mix dog, estimated to be around 1 1/2- two years old. Brownie's fur is a rich chocolate color that looks like velvet. She clearly has had a litter of puppies in her life, if not several. We think she may have been used as a "breeding" dog, because she is so beautiful. She is an incredibly sweet girl who bonds with anyone who gives her love and attention. She has a touching habit of licking your hand when you offer her her food dish or put on her leash for a walk, as if thanking you for feeding and walking her. Brownie is such an elegant, well behaved girl, but she is strong. She doesn't do mischievous things like chew on things she shouldn't. She is an all around fine girl. She had been in a boarding facility for some time (pulled to save her from euthanasia). She likes to sit outside, so we think she has adjusted to noisy New York well. She is fine with other dogs. How she is with children or cats is unknown, but she is so nice it's hard to imagine she wouldn't be ok with quiet, well behaved children. In the third photo, she appears to be doing yoga. In the video, she is politely taking her rawhide to carry. She is sad because no one has adopted her yet. She's tried changing her name several times to generate interest. She has a sweet, loving yet confident personality similar to Moondog, who was recently adopted. To adopt Brownie, text or call to 347 244-2477. Texting is recommended.
