Bruno

Bruno is a four-and-a-half-year-old Shepherd mix with beautiful, soulful eyes looking for a mature, loving home. As affectionate as he is loyal, Bruno makes a strong bond with the members of his household and loves being in and around the house. If you are sad or upset, he will definitely comfort you. He can be jealous or protective of his people, especially with children and other dogs, and will definitely announce newcomers, but at home he is generally mellow, low-maintenance, and friendly--asking even strangers for a little love after a proper introduction. He eats and sleeps well and doesn't get too anxious being alone, though he'll definitely be happy to see you on your return, leaning up against you to reconnect while you take off your coat. His handsome tri-color coat sheds twice a year; he loves to have it brushed and tolerates baths well. He is exceptionally well housebroken, needing to go out only a couple of times a day. He loves daily walks and runs--he's quite the sniffer, being part hound, and enjoys nature and trails--as well as treats and belly rubs, for which he will always sit and give you the puppy eyes. On the leash he can be a little uncomfortable with certain other dogs, but he observes commands and is responsive to structure and training from his primary people. An owner prepared to make him number one will be rewarded with deep attachment and emotional sensitivity, an easy rapport and a chill energy. He would do best in a mature & calm type household. Bruno has been with his current owner for several years but due to their household becoming busy, they are looking to re-home him to a more suitable environment.
