Bubba

Bubba is a lovable Terrier mix, weighing in at around 66lbs, with an estimated date of birth of July 2021. This big, goofy ball of energy made his way to our shelter after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Did somebody say TOY?! Bubba’s eyes light up at the mere mention of toys. Balls, rope toys, stuffies—you name it, he loves it! His bio pictures show just how much joy he gets from his toys. Bubba really enjoys when staff and volunteers take him to our outside dog run for some running and playtime. He knows the concept of “fetch,” but sometimes he gets so excited that he forgets to bring the toy back. His enthusiasm is truly infectious! Bubba is an anxiety warrior. The loud noises, constant barking, and frequent walk-throughs at the shelter can be overwhelming for him. To help manage his anxiety, he is currently on medication recommended by our Vet Staff. His previous owner mentioned that Bubba also has some separation anxiety at home, so we are looking for a special family who can provide the love and stability he needs. Ideally, Bubba’s forever home would be with a somewhat active family who can spend a lot of time with him. He is a classic “Velcro Dog,” meaning he loves to be with his humans as much as possible. His previous owner had him in doggy daycare for a while, and he seemed to do well there, so that might be a good option for his future family. Bubba is also quite the gentleman when it comes to keeping his kennel clean, even overnight. This tells us that he has worked on house training, so transitioning to his new home should be a smooth process. Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
